Our farm focuses on breeding Westfalische Totleger “Deathlayer” Gold and Silver Chickens
This is the rarest and most gorgeous breed we have. This breed is relatively new to the U.S., so the price—even for hatching eggs—was almost insane. Due to this, many breeders have started mixing it with other breeds, ruining the purity of the bloodline.
The name of this breed is self-explanatory, as the hens continue laying eggs throughout their lifespan without slowing down. They have unique coloring and an elegant, erect stature.
While they are a bit shy and smaller in size as chicks—making them easy targets for others—once they are fully grown, their style and stature truly stand out, showcasing just how stunning these birds are.
